POON’S Five Hot Spice Powder [五香辣粉] is our own blend of a classic Cantonese spice mix. We ground and mix our own cinnamon, star anise, fennel seeds and cloves, with added fragrance from high grade Sichuan Peppers and roasted sesame seeds, and extra La kick from hot Southeast Asian chilli. This can be used to season stir-fries, stews and braises or used as a dry meat rub for deep fries, BBQs and roasts like Crispy Roast Pork Belly Siu Yuk.
